A sensação dos quadrinhos em termos de moda e glamour ganhou vida real na San Diego Comic Con neste final de semana. Como já haviamos anunciado anteriormente, estava programado para acontecer uma festa de Gala real organizado pela Marvel Entertainment e a D23 Events nesta madrugada do Sábado para o Domingo. O evento contou com vários ambientes emulando o cenário de Krakoa, inclusive a entrada era apresentada como uma espécie de portal planta que os X-Men usam hoje em dia como principal meio de transporte. Contou com algumas cosplayers profissionais emulando exatamente as vestimentas usadas já pelos famosos mutantes dos quadrinhos, mas também contou com uma variedade de outros cosplayers que usaram e abusaram da criatividade.
O Hellfire Gala já existia nos quadrinhos dos X-Men décadas antes, mas não na escala dessas novas galas que apresentam designs de moda em nossos heróis favoritos da Marvel, muitos desenhados por Russell Dauterman, e até mesmo tendo alguns destaques nas páginas da Entertainment Weekly.
